Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
Notebooks are designed to be lightweight and compact. It's likely the original designers didn't conceive that people were going to use a notebook for hours at a time. But you do. Not only that. You also use it as a desktop replacement. Keynamics makes notebook stands to remedy those initial notebook design flaws.

First, notebooks generate heat when used. Placing it on a stand help provide ventilation to keep it running cool and safe.

Second, is your posture. Notebooks require an almost unnatural seating position and, with prolonged use, cause slight back and neck pain. The Keynamics Travel Laptop Stand is conveniently collapsible for easy travel. It takes less than a minute to set it up anywhere.

Simply place your notebook upon it and prepare for a new level of comfort and performance from you and your computer.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - kenamics good if notebook computer and work surface square edged
The Kenamics Aviator Travel Laptop Stand works well with a notebook computer having a squared-off front edge. A Mac Book Pro is fine, for instance. An HP Pavilion PC has a front edge that is beveled back toward its bottom, so the stand does not hold the notebook as tightly. This might be a problem if used on a bumpy flight rather than just on a desk. I will try to rig something to fill in the gap, perhaps with a piece of vinyl tubing to provide a better grip. Otherwise, just be a bit gentle with the typing.

The device is designed so the front parts of the supports hang over the edge of a work surface (the bottom notch shown in the picture separates the section on the surface from the front segment that hangs over the surface edge). It not very useful if you try to put the entire stand on a flat surface: the keyboard then lies almost flat. When used properly, the angle of the keyboard worked well for me. If you want a steeper angle or do not want to work with the computer hanging over the edge, go to another brand where the angle can be adjusted.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Laptop Stand
A great stand; it works just like I was hoping it would; it's sturdy, and the price is right

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Aviator saves back strain and laptop overheat
The Aviator Laptop stand is the perfect tool for preventing "the hunch"
when sitting at the computer. It also allows airflow - so that the laptop stays cooler. It's super-easy to snap together and to take apart. The slim pieces slip into a purse or briefcase - making for light travel.

The only thing that might need a small design improvement are the points
at the end of each arm - that keep the laptop from slipping forward. There is a tiny wobble - that is easily fixable on your own with a small napkin. Then the laptop stays in snuggly. Future improvements on the product might include foam padding - that makes the laptop more securely seated.

Then again, this just might be my laptop model - so this might not occur
with all laptops. Overall, the product is awesome for avoiding eye strain and for saving the laptop from overheating on a flat surface.
