Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Product!
I was looking for a good laptop stand for my mom, because her computer overheated once and she uses rolls of quarters to keep it up. I saw this one and it had pretty great reviews so i sprung for it. She loved it! She has bought 4 more for all of her friends' children that have laptops! Although this product was supposed to include a USB outlet or something, I didn't have a problem with it not being there. It holds up her Toshiba Laptop nicely and it doesn't have a problem overheating anymore! And it also is a great angle to type; my wrists don't hurt anymore. Thank a lot!

The worst part is that this item is only $24.99 and you would need $25.00 to qualify for free shipping. So I felt that it really sucked that I had to pick something else [to buy] just so I could get free shipping which I would've qualified for if the price was just 1 penny more. I could've paid for shipping (probably $5.95) but if i could get another item for that $5.95, why not?

But all in all, the product itself is great!

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent Addition to My Workspace
This is a STURDY metal laptop stand. The mesh provides excellent cooling capabilities. As described, it has several settings and adjusts from 12 to 36 degrees. I was slightly concerned about it being made of metal, but found that there are four pads on the underside of it to prevent scratches to your desktop. There are two similar pads on the top, which provides a soft bumper for your laptop. However I purchased some clear self-adhesive silicone "polybumpers" to provide a little more protection (http://www.polybumper.com/products/). I have a 17" MacBook Pro and it fits nicely on this stand. The stand sits firmly on the desk unless you want to move it, and the laptop fits snugly in the stand.

This is not a "lap" stand in my opinion. I use a "Lapinator" for when I want to use my laptop on the couch.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Rolodex Laptop Stand -- somewhat costly
I chose this stand because it was one of the few _easily_ adjustable stands available here at Amazon.

It's quite hefty as far as laptop stands are, made of durable metal which by itself sets your equipment at least 2-inches off which ever surface it is used on.
As for the appearance, I notice the metal-mesh frame used for holding laptops seems hastily welded to the base of the stand. While the quality is outstanding nonetheless, I can't help but think $25 is on the higher end of the price range for this product. Lighter and more portable laptop supports are available for cheaper and some more expensive brands have even USB port interfaces.
I must clarify that this product has _an option_ to implement a USB/Power interface, but that is all sold separately and is merely advertised on the back of the packaging. This product comes with a rubber partition to place on the back of the base to hold up to 6 wires in place.

Though for someone who simply wants something to prop up his/her equipment angled at least 2-inches or higher for better leeway for cooling, this Rolodex Laptop Stand does the job.

I must also point out, finally, that this product is not very portable--being composed of durable metal and all.

I actually found this same stand (except Rubbermaid branded) at my local Wal-mart for $16. It is not a clearance or sale price

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Does it's job
I needed a stand to get my laptop screen up higher when working on my desk at home. This stand is simple and works great. The stand has nice cable slots to hold the USB connections I plug / unplug everyday.

Probably the only change I would make would be to install larger feet at the bottom of the tray where the laptop sits. They are a bit small for my laptop. My laptop has a dip along the front edge (which sits on the bottom of this) and the rubber part only makes contact on a few small parts of the bottom.

My partner liked it so well he went and bought the same one for his house and loves it as well.
